Que Sera Tumblestone
Que Sera was originally discovered in 1904 and named Llanite after the area in the US it was found but in 2007 the name Que Sera for this stunning tumblestone, was coined by the late, legendary crystal author Melody, in her Crystal Encyclopedia and the name stuck.
A geological acronym: the "QUE" stands for Quartz with Undulatory Extinction - a reference to the spectacular way light bends and waves through the striking blue quartz pools embedded inside the rock. Second, she purposefully added "Sera" as a playful nod to the iconic 1950s Doris Day song, "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)." Melody felt the stone's physical properties perfectly mirrored its metaphysical energy: a joyful, comforting reminder to stop overthinking, release the need for control, and trust the beautiful rhythm of life.
Geologically, it is not a single mineral but a unique polymineralic volcanic rock (rhyolite) composed of striking blue quartz phenocrysts embedded in a rich volcanic feldspar matrix.
