Chakra Crystals
Chakra literally means "wheel" and refers to spinning wheels, or vortexes of energy, where the physical and consciousness meet. This energy is called Prana, Chi or Qi and is the life force, and helps keep our emotional, physical and spiritual bodies healthy. There are seven main chakras, which run along the spine, through the neck and up to the crown of the head and each chakra corresponds to a nerve centre, major organ and emotional state. For optimum health we need the 7 chakras to stay open, and balanced with the energy connecting them and moving easily between each of them. If there is a blockage in one (or many), then the energy can’t flow throughout our body and creates stagnant energy which over time can cause imbalances in our physical, emotional or spiritual well being.
Each chakra is associated with its own number, colour, element and also with certain crystals. Crystals are believed to emit beneficial healing energies and each crystal type has varying subtle energies that operate at differing frequencies and hence certain crystals are more helpful in working with certain areas of the body.
