Geology & Formation: Orange Selenite is a natural variety of gypsum (calcium sulfate dihydrate). This striking sedimentary mineral forms over millions of years as ancient salt lakes and mineral-rich marine basins slowly evaporate. While classic Selenite forms entirely clear or white, this vibrant orange-to-peach variety occurs when groundwater rich in hematite (natural iron oxide) flows through the sediment. The iron particles become permanently trapped within the crystal's monoclinic structure, giving each stone its warm, radiant hue.

Metaphysical Properties: Often called a stone of emotional transformation, soothing deep-seated emotional stress and clearing negative energies, Orange Selenite combines the high-vibrational, purifying energy of traditional white selenite with a deeply grounding element.

Chakra: Crown & Sacral
Birthsign: Taurus

Care Instructions
• Keep Strictly Dry: Selenite is highly water-soluble. Do not wash, submerge, or expose your stone to moisture, as water will dissolve its polished finish and erode the mineral.
• Handle with Care: With a Mohs hardness rating of just 2, this is an exceptionally soft mineral. Keep it stored away from harder crystals to prevent scratching, chipping, or denting.
• Sunlight Warning: Prolonged, direct exposure to harsh sunlight can cause the orange colour to fade over time.

Please Note: These are natural stones and each is unique but may have its own small imperfections such as inclusions, pits or markings within the crystal itself - this is part of their natural beauty and as nature intended. Tumbling these stones may polish off some of these imperfections but not always all of them.
