Kammerite is a very rare, chromium rich variety of Clinochlore, and member of the Clorite family. It crystallizes in the form of masses, pyramid-like micro-points, and hexagonal crystals and it can range in colour from dark red, purple, violet or even pink, all depending on the amount of chromium impurities within the stone.

First discovered in 1841 by Nils Gustaf Nordenskiöld, a Finnish mineralogist who chose to name it after August Alexander Kämmerer. Kämmere, a famous Russian chemist and mining director. Since that time it has only been found a handful of times in Russia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the United States, and recently, Turkey.

Kammererite's scarcity, especially in tumblestone form and unique energy make this mineral a highly sought after and prized possession amongst collectors. Its energies are believed to promote spiritual growth, emotional balance, mental clarity and to help us live in the present moment.
