Gold Sheen Obsidian is a rare variety of standard Black Obsidian. Like Black Obsidian it goes through the same rapid heating and cooling processes to develop the its high gloss glassy appearance but Golden Sheen Obsidian has its own distinct sheen that results from gas getting trapped in the liquified magma as it cools to form the volcanic glass.

Gold Sheen Obsidian is a very healing and grounding stone that helps you stay in the present moment by releasing negative thought patterns. It also encourages you to look within and to assess what you need to change in your life in order to live in alignment with your true self.
