This set of 5 Fulgurites (lightning stones) are sold as seen, and measure approximately 1.5cms - 3cms in length and 0.3cms - 1cms in thickness.

Fulgurites are very fragile, relatively rare, naturally occurring glassy formations created when lightning strikes a surface, such as sand, soil, rock, or other minerals with the intense heat, melting the material upon impact. This molten material quickly cools and solidifies, and these formations of a glass-like structure, vary in size, shape, and composition, often resembling twisted, elongated tubes or delicate, branching structures that may preserve the shape of the lightning's original path. Fulgurites are sometimes referred to as "fossilized lightning", and often have a rough outer surface whilst the inner surface is smooth and glassy, because of the fact that the sand cools rapidly and solidifies. Their size is based on the strength of the lightning and the thickness of the sand bed.

Fulgurite are believed to be one of the most powerful Shamanic stones in the world, often used in meditative practices to harness the power of lightning to heal the mind and body.
