Coppernite/Copperlite, sometimes referred to an Indian Nuummite, is a powerful metamorphic stone from India containing a striking blend of quartz, feldspar, mica, and hornblende. Its deep black base is lit up with shimmering coppery flashes—giving it a bold, grounding presence.

Although often called Indian Nuummite, this is misleading as it is not a true nuummite at all, and although visually it does share some similar characteristics, both stones however, have a very different chemical formula and their own unique metaphysical meanings.

True Nuummite is a rare and ancient, metamorphic orthoamphibole rock from the Nuuk region of Greenland primarily comprised of an interlocking mixture of two distinct magnesium-rich silicate minerals. Nuummite features deep, multidirectional, elongated striations or lamellar streaks that create iridescent flashes of gold, green, blue, or red.

Coppernite however is  a trade name for a specific type of anorthosite igneous rock or galaxy granite sourced from India. It is predominantly a feldspar-rich matrix embedded with  short, choppy, or square-shaped coppery and golden flecks rather than long, layered iridescent needle-like flashes

Coppernite has a gentle masculine energy and a  deep connection to the Earth.  Its powerful grounding energy offers stability and protection fostering a feeling of security and resilience in the face of life's challenges. It also helps us to keep focus and boosts vitality, by encouraging the movement of  stagnant energy, to increase  physical vitality, and recharge the spirit.
