Crackle Quartz or Vein Quartz is a unique and beautiful type of Clear Quartz that has undergone a man made special heating and cooling process and it is this process that has resulted in the formation of internal fractures (Crackles). The end result has been likened to an icy landscape or fiery blaze and hence it is also known as Fire & Ice Quartz. To achieve the blue coloured variety of crackle quartz, dye is added to the water during the cooling process that then enters any surface-reaching fractures and flow, by capillary action, deep into the quartz. The deep penetration of dye produces a rich colour in the quartz which is obviously man-made and not a naturally occurring colour.

This captivating stone contains the attributes of its original form of Clear Quartz and enhances the energy of other crystals it is placed with, additionally, its energy-enhancing abilities are thought to promote emotional, mental, and physical balance, assisting with overall healing and well-being.
