Chrysotile tumblestones display a unique natural canvas where rich, earth-green serpentine matrix meets parallel, shimmering bands of golden-green Chrysotile.

Geology: Chrysotile is formed through a geological phenomenon called serpentinization where a  low-temperature (below 350°C), hydrothermal metamorphic process occurs deep within the Earth's crust. When magnesium-rich, ultramafic igneous rocks (such as peridotite or dunite) interact with tectonic activity and heated water infuses into faults, minerals like olivine and pyroxene alter into the serpentine group.

Chrysotile grows as cross-cutting, fine-layered veinlets within the darker green lizardite or antigorite matrix. Under the microscope, its crystal lattice rolls up into hollow cylindrical nanotubes, giving the stone its signature, silky, parallel golden-green banding when tumble-polished.

Metaphysical Properties: Chrysotile in serpentine is also known as the Stone of Life and is deeply revered for themes of transformation and resilience encouraging us to let go of emotional baggage and move forward with the flow of life

Chakra: Heart & Solar Plexus
Birthsign: Gemini

You will receive one handpicked stone measuring approx. 30-35mm (16-18g).

Care & Safety Instructions: Please note that chrysotile is a serpentine asbestos mineral. These tumblestones  are beautifully tumbled and polished which safely traps and seals the natural, microscopic asbestos fibres within the host serpentine rock. They are perfectly safe to hold, carry, and use in meditation. However, as a routine precaution for all asbestiform minerals, do not break, crush, sand, or drill the stone, and avoid using it to create direct-infusion water elixirs. Keep out of reach of children and pets and wash hands after handling.

Please Note: These are natural stones and each is unique but may have its own small imperfections such as inclusions, pits or markings within the crystal itself - this is part of their natural beauty and as nature intended. Tumbling these stones may polish off some of these imperfections but not always all of them.
