Blue Scheelite Tumblestone
Ironically, "Blue scheelite" is not a true scheelite mineral but a crystalline, metamorphic rock composed of banded blue calcite and white dolomite, with occasional trace inclusions of yellow-orange true scheelite. It is not a singular mineral, but a rock aggregate. First discovered in Turkey in 2014, it was noted to glow vibrant blue-white under ultraviolet (UV) light and because and because true scheelite is famous for its strong UV fluorescence, it was assumed the vein was scheelite-based. However later geological analysis revealed its true composition but the commercial trade name "Blue Scheelite" had already taken hold in the crystal market. Since this time it has also been sold under other creative trade names, including: Lapis Lace Onyx (though it contains absolutely no lapis lazuli or onyx!) - Scheelite Lace or Blue Rhodochrositen.
This striking material was forged millions of years ago when tungsten-rich hydrothermal fluids surged through ancient limestone beds. The extreme heat and pressure recrystallized the host rock into alternating bands of blue-grey calcite and white dolomite. While these minerals are normally soft, intense tectonic forces tightly interlocked their crystal boundaries, fusing them into a uniquely durable rock mass with a rare Mohs hardness of 5. As the elemental fluids cooled, pockets of true tungsten captured calcium to precipitate yellow-orange scheelite, leaving permanent, golden flecks frozen inside the contrasting bands.
Blue Scheelite is a soothing stone that aids mental clarity, and spiritual alignment. The blue calcite acts like an emotional sedative, quietening racing thoughts, dissolving anxiety, and soothing the nervous system. Whilst the Dolomite brings a gentle, nurturing energy, helping the release anger or grief without feeling overwhelmed.

You will receive one rare “Blue Scheelite” tumblestone measuring approx. 20-30mm from the Bursa Province, Turkey.
**Please note, these are natural stones and each is unique but may have its own small imperfections such as inclusions, pits or markings within the crystal itself - this is part of their natural beauty and as nature intended they are not perfect. Tumbling these stones may polish off some of these imperfections but not always all of them.**
