Kimberlite Tumblestone
Kimberlite is a rare and fascinating igneous rock that is best known as the main host matrix for diamonds. It is named after the town of Kimberley in South Africa where diamonds were found embedded in this rock type. Kimberlite is renown for containing small amounts of Diamonds, Olivine, Garnet, Ilmenite, Zircon, Spinel, and other precious stones. The presence of other stones in Kimberlite often gives it a mottled or spotted appearance. Kimberlite is also known as Diamond Host Rock and Diamond-Bearing Rock.
Due to the possible mixture of minerals it may contain, its healing properties may vary but it is a highly protective stone that is also believed to attract happiness and help with decision-making.
